Deilmann & Römermann 2026, data for "Patterns and drivers of phenology of temperate forest understorey herbs in a dry and a normal year"

This dataset contains all phenological and environmental data that were used for the publication. Phenological data includes six phenological stages (initial growth, first flowering day, day of peak flowering, day of 5% leaf senescence, day of 50% leaf senescence, growing season length) for 342 populations of 22 herbaceous species from three different temperate forest types (European beech, Norway spruce, Scots pine). Environmental data includes data used for modelling phenological responses to small-scale heterogeneity. Included are data of the 90day period prior to the 10% quantile of reaching the respective phenological stage. Variables included are temperature, growing degree days (GDD), light accumulation and soil moisture. A metadata file describes all variables included in the files.
