New distribution record of national second-class protected plant， <italic>Phlegmariurus fargesii</italic> （Herter） Ching， in Hubei Province

Based on field investigations of plant diversity in the Hubei Dalaoling National Nature Reserve， a new distribution record of the national second-class protected epiphytic plant， Phlegmariurus fargesii （Herter） Ching， is reported in Hubei Province. The morphological characteristics are described detailly based on the key features using stereomicroscope and digital camera. P. fargesii is scattered throughout Yunnan， Chongqing， Guangxi and Taiwan， this discovery extends the distribution range of the species eastward to western Hubei， enriches the flora of Hubei Province， and provides valuable research data for the study of species diversity in the region. The voucher specimen is preserved in the herbarium of Hubei Dalaoling National Nature Reserve.
