Use of an eye drop containing Matricaria recuita (Chamomile) for eye relief and comfort

Demonstrate of matricaria recutita 0.025% eye drops compared to hypromellose 0.5% eye drops is functional providing a sensation of eye relief, through the score of an visual analog test for eye fatigue (VAT-EF). A total of 168 participants were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive eye drops of matricaria recutita 0.025% or hypromellose 0.5% in the inferior conjunctival sac of both eyes four times daily (QID), at least 3 hours apart, for 7 days. The follow-up visit was on day 8 after randomization (day 1), and a safety call was conducted between days 2 and 3 after the final visit (day 10 ± 1).

本研究证实0.025%洋甘菊（Matricaria recutita）滴眼液相较于0.5%羟丙甲纤维素滴眼液具备眼部舒缓功效，采用眼部疲劳视觉模拟评分法（Visual Analog Test for Eye Fatigue, VAT-EF）进行疗效评分。共计168名受试者按1:1比例随机分组，双眼下结膜囊每日给药四次（QID），每次给药间隔至少3小时，连续给药7天。随访访视定于随机化后第8天（即试验第1天），末次给药后第2至3天（即试验第10±1天）开展安全性随访电话。
