Excavations at St Nicholas Priory, Exeter 1983-84 (Exeter archive site 78)

October 1983 to February 1984 excavation by Exeter Museums Archaeological field Unit in the grounds immediately to the south-east of the existing St Nicholas Priory Museum, between The Mint Lane and Friernhay Street at SX 9175 9247. The excavation revealed the west end of the priory church of St Nicholas, including the earliest west front, and 14th Century Tower and two Roman military barracks buildings.
