SsUBC2 gene regulates sexual mating

Deletion of one Ssubc2 allele in a pair with a wild-type strain resulted in impaired mating/filamentation and reduced virulence. Transcriptome profiling revealed that about a third of genes underwent reprogramming in the wild types during mating.

在与野生型菌株配对的实验体系中，敲除一个Ssubc2等位基因，会导致菌株的交配与菌丝形成能力受损，且毒力降低。转录组分析（Transcriptome profiling）结果显示，在交配过程中，野生型菌株内约三分之一的基因发生了表达重编程。
