This study aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which exogenous nitrate nitrogen modulates low-temperature tolerance in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. Xintaimici) roots. Hydroponically grown seedlings were subjected to low-temperature stress (10/15 deg C) and three NO3--N treatments: 0 mM (Group A), 12 mM (Group B), and 24 mM (Group C). Root samples were collected at 4 and 12 days post-treatment for transcriptomic (RNA-Seq and qRT-PCR) and physiological analyses.
