Non-nutritive sweeteners and the pituitary: data, code and search documentation for a paired scoping review and bibliometric analysis

Data, code and search documentation for the scoping review "Non-nutritive sweeteners and the pituitary: quantifying an evidence gap with a paired scoping review and bibliometric analysis". The deposit contains everything needed to re-execute the review: the registered protocol as applied; the searches as run, with the interface and date of each and the calibration series for the sweetener block with its two sentinel-record tests; the deduplicated analytical corpus of 692 records and the bibliometric corpus of 6,471 records, each with the contributing databases recorded per record; both reviewers' title-and-abstract and full-text screening decisions with their reasons and the reconciliation of the disagreements; the extraction workbook with the codebook, both reviewers' entries and the reconciled dataset; the risk-of-bias reconciliation log; the keyword, co-citation, thematic and trend exports with the thesaurus and stop list actually applied; and the analysis and figure-generating scripts. PubMed/MEDLINE was first searched in June 2026 and re-run as an update on 25 August 2026; Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus were searched on 25 August 2026. That date is the date of last search for all three databases. The protocol is registered separately with OSF Registries (DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/AB5WP). Raw database exports are not redistributed where the database licence does not permit it; record identifiers are given instead.
