Liberal health professionals: Fee amounts by category and territory (department, region)

This dataset is one of the sources of data visualizations available on the website [Data liberal health professionals](https://data.ameli.fr/pages/data-professionals-health-liberals/). ### Data updates: * Updated on 04/11/2024: first upload of data, from 2010 to 2023 For more information and details on the updates and changes made in the data (perimeter, calculation method, patch, etc.), consult the [Method] page (https://data.ameli.fr/pages/data-professionals-health-liberals-method/) of this site. ### General information: The liberal health professions available in this dataset are: * doctors** (with more than 20 medical specialties); * dental surgeons** (including specialists in dentofacial orthopaedics – ODF); * midwives**; * medical auxiliaries with five professions: **nurses, masseur-physiotherapists, speech therapists, orthoptists, pedicures-podologists**. They are health professionals active on 31 December of the year in question and: * working as a self-employed person; * in metropolitan France, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique and Mayotte; * having received at least EUR 1 in fees; * whether they are covered by sickness insurance or not (where they generate a prescription reimbursed by sickness insurance); * professionals in combined employment and retirement are counted as part of the workforce if they meet the previous conditions. This dataset presents information on the fees of liberal health professionals: * the amount of the fees without exceeding those relating to the acts; * amount of non-exceeding fees linked to flat-rate remuneration; * amount of non-exceeding fees related to travel allowances; * amount of overruns; These amounts are presented: * in total amount (for an entire profession); * in average amount (per professional). These average fees are presented for the subpopulation of so-called "active professionals in their own right" (APE). Several territorial levels are available: national level (whole France), region, department. The data come from the National Health Data System (NHDS). When a level does not display any value, the fee amount displayed is the total of the category of the previous level. _For example_: when type_fees_level_3 is empty and type_fees_level_2 contains the fee category “Acts”, then the amount of fees displayed corresponds to the total fees related to the acts. ### ### Statistical confidentiality: Out of respect for statistical confidentiality (Law of 7 June 1951) and in order that the direct or indirect identification of individuals is impossible, no information on fees, prescriptions and patients is communicated when the number of liberal health professionals is strictly less than 5.
