The red cusk-eel (Genypterus chilensis) is an abundant fish species distributed along the coasts of the Southeastern Pacific Ocean, which has been considered one of the endemic species of greatest acuaculture diversification potential in Chile. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of thermal stress in the liver of red cusk-eel, determine the transcriptional regulation of pathways in response to this stressor as well as identify thermal stress biomarkers in this species, relevant information under a climate change scenario. For this we use RNA-seq of liver of control and thermal stress groups with Illumina Hiseq technology.

红羽鼬鳚(Genypterus chilensis)是一种分布于东南太平洋沿岸的常见鱼类,被认为是智利最具水产养殖多元化开发潜力的本土物种之一。本研究旨在明确热应激对红羽鼬鳚肝脏的影响,解析该物种应对该胁迫因子的通路转录调控规律,并鉴定该物种的热应激生物标志物;相关研究结果在气候变化背景下具有重要参考价值。为实现上述研究目标,本研究采用Illumina Hiseq测序技术,对对照组与热应激组的红羽鼬鳚肝脏组织进行RNA测序(RNA-seq)。
