Coast Mole Range Predicted Habitat - CWHR M017 [ds2476]

California Wildlife Habitat Relationship system (CWHR) Predicted Habitat Models represent areas of predicted suitable habitat for each species within its range. GIS raster datasets representing predicted suitable habitat for a species are one component of the CWHR system. This system includes a web application that supplies information on California’s terrestrial vertebrates and the habitats upon which they depend, supports a variety of user queries, and houses spatial data on habitats and wildlife. The CWHR System was developed to support habitat conservation and management, land use planning, impact assessment, education, and research involving terrestrial vertebrates in California. CWHR contains information on life history, management status, geographic distribution, and habitat relationships for wildlife species that occur in California.

CWHR Predicted Habitat Models are in raster format with a pixel size of 30 meters. Certain habitat types which are often small or narrow such as riparian areas and some wetlands may be underestimated or intermittently mapped as a consequence of converting vector data to raster. CWHR Predicted Habitat Models help in the planning of biological surveys and are used within CDFW to support species richness assessments for statewide conservation planning.

加州野生动物栖息地关系系统（California Wildlife Habitat Relationship system，缩写CWHR）的预测栖息地模型，可呈现各物种在其分布范围内的预测适宜栖息地区域。用于呈现某一物种预测适宜栖息地的GIS栅格数据集，是CWHR系统的组成部分之一。该系统搭载一款Web应用程序，可提供加州陆生脊椎动物及其依存栖息地的相关信息，支持多类用户查询，并存储了栖息地与野生动物的空间数据。CWHR系统的开发初衷是为加州范围内涉及陆生脊椎动物的栖息地保护与管理、土地利用规划、影响评估、科普教育及研究工作提供支撑。CWHR收录了加州境内栖息的野生动物物种的生活史、管理现状、地理分布以及栖息地关联等相关信息。
CWHR预测栖息地模型采用栅格格式，像素分辨率为30米。由于将矢量数据转换为栅格数据的处理过程，部分小型或狭长的栖息地类型（如河岸带与部分湿地）可能会被低估，或仅能间歇性完成制图。CWHR预测栖息地模型可助力生物调查规划工作，并已在加州鱼类与野生动物局（California Department of Fish and Wildlife，缩写CDFW）内部用于支撑全州保护规划中的物种丰富度评估。
