In this experiment we measured the transcriptional response of ten tomato cultivars when infected by the plant-parasitic nematode M. incognita. The ten cultivars showed differential levels of susceptibility to M. incognita infection. Ten-days old plants were exposed to nematodes and harvested 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, or 10 days post infection. Galls or representative uninfected tissues were harvested and used for RNA sequencing. The data was used to investigate the link between susceptibility to M. incognita infection and gene expression in tomato.

本实验中,我们测定了10个番茄品种(tomato cultivars)被植物寄生线虫南方根结线虫(M. incognita)侵染后的转录响应。该10个品种对该线虫的侵染表现出不同程度的感病性。我们将10日龄的番茄植株接种线虫,并分别于接种后1、2、3、4、7、10天取样收获。我们采集根结或代表性未侵染组织并用于RNA测序。本数据集用于探究番茄对南方根结线虫侵染的感病性与基因表达之间的关联。
