This dataset presents the characteristics of sidestreams that result from the settling, thickening and dewatering of sewage sludge. These data have been collected from the scientific literature and all available characteristics (volume and concentrations of different components) have been included. The origin of the data is systematically presented. The collected dataset is organised by source of sidestreams: thickening of primary sludge, thickening of biological sludge, dewatering of digested sludge, dewatering of digested sludge pretreated through a thermal hydrolysis process. More information about the configuration of the water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) are provided when available: secondary treatment type, specific phosphorus treatment type and dewatering or thickening equipment. This dataset allows the calculation of statistical information for each observed characteristic. These data can be useful to researchers, engineers and WRRF operators because they are scarce at full-scale. This dataset can be an easy-to-use resource for improving knowledge about sidestream characteristics.

本数据集收录了污水污泥经沉淀、浓缩与脱水处理过程中产生的侧流物料(sidestreams)的特征参数。所有数据均源自公开学术文献,完整收录了可获取的全部特征信息,包括各组分的体积与浓度,且数据来源均经系统梳理并明确标注。本数据集按照侧流物料的产生来源分为四类:初沉污泥浓缩、生物污泥浓缩、消化污泥脱水、经热水解工艺预处理后的消化污泥脱水。若有可用信息,本数据集还会补充水资源回收设施(water resource recovery facilities, WRRFs)的配置详情,涵盖二级处理工艺类型、专属除磷处理工艺类型以及脱水/浓缩设备信息。研究人员可基于本数据集计算各观测特征的统计指标;由于实际工程场景中此类全规模实测数据较为匮乏,本数据集可为科研人员、工程师以及水资源回收设施运维人员提供宝贵的数据支撑,同时可作为便捷易用的参考资源,助力学界深化对侧流物料特征的认知。
