很久很久以前，有一座村落。村内曾有一处老屋，鼠王已在其中安居数载。因老屋年久失修，屋主拆除旧房，于村内一处溪谷旁兴建新居。新居落成当晚，屋主举办暖房派对，屋主之女出门取水。途中，众鼠合力抬着双目失明的老鼠王——它们搀扶着年迈的鼠王，将其迁往新居。途经溪流时，众鼠停下休憩。此时，出门取水的屋主女儿恰好目睹鼠群抬着盲眼老鼠的场景，返家后便将此事告知父母与祖父母。听闻此事，屋主一家皆惊叹不已。
"女儿，取一块木盘至溪边，架于溪面作为鼠群的通道。"家人对女儿说道。女孩遂取来木盘置于溪流之上。此时，鼠群抬着老鼠王踏过木桥，将其送至新居。老鼠王抵达新居后，倍感欣喜，亲吻了围在身旁的众鼠，随后钻入屋下。
屋主目睹鼠王进入屋内，不禁感慨："虽说只是鼠类，却如此团结友爱。"祖父母对儿子与孙辈说道："如今人类总因老人视力不佳、行动不便，便不让他们参与聚会，但今日连鼠群都不忘携盲眼老鼠前来新居。我们应当效仿动物的团结精神，以此为榜样。"
自次年起，儿女们也会携家中长辈、祖父母一同参与聚会。父母、祖父母与孙辈阖家团圆，无论去往聚会还是其他场合，都会相伴同行，彼此照料。自此，这个家族愈发团结，家业也愈发兴旺。
此故事我记忆犹新，故在此如实讲述。它启示我们，人类应当以动物为榜样，互帮互助、摒弃偏见，家族与民族方能愈发兴盛。我已尽己所能还原这个故事。
