Btg2 wild type (Btg2-WT) and Btg2 knockout (Btg2-KO) mice of male and of female were fasted for 48 hours and then re-fed for 24 hours. On each time point, body weight of each mouse, lean body mass and fat mass were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). We found Btg2-KO mice consume less fat mass during starvation in both sexes, and have lower bone mineral density in female.
选取雄性与雌性Btg2野生型(Btg2-WT)及Btg2基因敲除(Btg2-KO)小鼠,对其进行48小时禁食处理后恢复饲喂24小时。在各时间节点,采用双能X线吸收法(dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, DEXA)测定每只小鼠的体重、瘦体重与脂肪质量。本研究发现,两种性别的Btg2-KO小鼠在饥饿状态下的脂肪消耗量均更低,且雌性Btg2-KO小鼠的骨矿物密度更低。
