Optical and Temperature Analysis of Ti-6Al-4V Laser Melting Using Filtered and Unfiltered sCMOS Imaging: Experimental Dataset and Python Processing Scripts
收藏资源简介:
This repository provides experimental optical imaging data and Python-based image-processing tools developed for optical monitoring of diode area melting (DAM) of Ti-6Al-4V (Ti-64). The dataset comprises 16-bit TIFF images acquired using a Hamamatsu ORCA-Flash4.0 V3 sCMOS camera, a Thorlabs NIR bandpass filter (850–1000 nm) and a Tamron SP AF 180 mm macro lens during single-track laser melting experiments using a 10 W, 445 nm BWT laser. Two imaging configurations are provided: filtered imaging using the NIR bandpass filter and unfiltered imaging. The accompanying Python scripts perform image segmentation, connected-component analysis, geometrical characterisation and intensity analysis, with additional temperature estimation for filtered images using a supplied calibration relationship. Processed outputs include quantitative CSV measurements, segmentation overlays, intensity profiles, histograms, temperature distribution maps and comparative plots. The repository supports research reproducibility, further data analysis and the development of optical monitoring approaches for laser-based additive manufacturing. Geometrical measurements are reported in pixels because object-space spatial calibration has not yet been established. Temperature estimates are derived using the supplied calibration relationship and should be interpreted within its applicable calibration range and experimental configuration.
