ADDRESS TO LEGENDS IN THE WORKS OF ALISHER NAVAI AND AMON MATJON: ON THE EXAMPLE OF "THE CRY OF JUSTICE"

This article examines the use of folk legends in the works of two prominent representatives of Uzbek literature — the classical poet of the 15th century Alisher Navoi and the contemporary poet of the 20th-21st centuries Omon Matjon. The study analyzes the artistic interpretation of legends associated with the image of the owl in the works of both poets. The research findings demonstrate that Navoi and Omon Matjon, while drawing upon the same folkloric source, reflected the social and spiritual issues of their respective eras.
