Über Freaks

Research Background This work is part of an international print exchange curated by artist and academic Rona Green.Über Freaks (2011) is based between the hetero/homo binary, the grey area, of sexual identity and alternative modes of masculine representation. The work can be aligned with research in queer studies and socio-geographic fields such as the written work of Sharif Mowlabocus from the UK and artist Neil Emmerson in NZ. SignificanceThis exchange portfolio includes the work Über Freaks exhibitied as part of the Print Council of Austalia's Month of Print aligned and affiliated with the IMAPCT 7 Conference held at Monash University in September 2011. Über Freaks was also exhibited in January 2012 at King Family Exhibition Space University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado, USA.
