Two cDNA libraries, YW and RG, were made from turning stage of fruits of Fragaria vesca accession Yellow Wonder (YW) and Ruegen (RG), respectively. After removing low-quality reads and trimming adapter sequences, reads (76-bp in size) were obtained. De novo assembly was carried out by Trinity. The transcripts were constructed by the Butterfly program of Trinity. These transcripts were assembled into 39,760 unigenes for YW and 43,662 unigenes for RG, respectively. After combining the unigene data from YW and RG, the unigene database of F. vesca was established and contained 60,663 unigenes.
