Levy areas for extractions located in the Quartair aquifer system (code 0100) (charging year 2018-2023)

The levy should encourage groundwater consumers to use groundwater sparingly. It also wants to encourage the use of more sustainable alternatives, such as the use of rainwater. The amounts of levy received are paid in full to the MINA Fund. The charging policy is based on the principle of the low and area factors. These factors have been incorporated into the charging formula. The low factor refers to a main hydrogeological unit (HCOV code) and is used for layers which, as a whole, require an increased charging policy. The area factor allows for a local differentiation in the charge for a specific layer (HCOV main unit), depending on the area-specific groundwater problem, e.g. for the defined groundwater action areas.
