Agricultural livestock in the Canton of Thurgau

The dataset describes the number of animals declared by Thurgauer farms as of 2015, divided by municipality and animal category. The municipality is assigned according to the location of the animal husbandry and not the location of the main holding. The basis for the figures is provided by the annual operational structure data collection. The grouping of the animal categories and the associated codes are set out in "Merkblatt No 6.3: Animal husbandry" of the Federal Office of Agriculture.
