This dataset collects data regarding basic planting conditions, planting techniques, cultivated varieties, growth cycles, and soil environments of potato-producing regions and potato-planting households in Xiangshan County. It is intended to evaluate and forecast the yield status of all registered potato-planting households in Xiangshan, so as to deliver timely technical support to farmers with yield-related alerts, ensure the quality and yield of the harvested potatoes, and issue early warnings for households with potential quality issues to maintain the overall quality of the produced potatoes.
The potato quality assessment formula is specified as follows:
QUALITY = (J1 + J2) × (1 - 0.1×wxn - 0.2×Z - 0.3×G - 0.5×D) × T×J3 × 100
Definitions of each variable:
- QUALITY: Numeric result of potato quality assessment;
- J1: Numeric score of potato variety appearance assessment;
- J2: Numeric score of potato variety taste assessment;
- wxn: Number of illegal pesticide applications within one year, numeric type;
- Z: Soil pH standard compliance, taking values of 0 or 1;
- G: Occurrence of pests and diseases, taking values of 0 or 1;
- D: Occurrence of weather disasters, taking values of 0 or 1;
- T: Sowing period, numeric type;
- J3: Whether planting structure adjustment has been implemented, taking values of 0 or 1;
Potato quality grading standards:
High quality: 80-100 points;
Medium quality: 60-79 points;
Low quality: <60 points.
