Know the radon potential of my commune in Haute-Garonne

Radon is a radioactive gas produced by the natural decay of uranium present in rocks. As a pulmonary carcinogen, it can pose a health risk when it accumulates in buildings. Knowledge of the characteristics of geological formations on the territory makes it possible to identify the areas where the presence of radon at high concentrations in buildings is most likely. This work, carried out by IRSN at the request of the Nuclear Safety Authority, has made it possible to establish a mapping of the radon potential covering the entire metropolitan territory. This mapping leads to the classification of municipalities into 3 categories.

**The proposed data have been filtered to retain only information relating to the municipalities of the department of Haute-Garonne.**

氡（Radon）是由岩石中天然存在的铀经自然衰变产生的放射性气体。作为肺部致癌物，当其在建筑物内积聚时，会对人体健康构成风险。掌握辖区内地质构造的特征，即可识别出建筑物内氡浓度最易达到高水平的区域。本项工作由法国辐射防护与核安全研究院（IRSN）应法国核安全局的委托开展，完成了覆盖法国本土全境的氡潜势制图。该制图将市镇划分为三类。

**本次提供的数据集已经过筛选，仅保留上加龙省（Haute-Garonne）辖区内的市镇相关信息。**
