Survey of herpeto fauna and habitat inventory of potential meadow otter habitats (Vipera ursinii rakosiensis MÉHELY, 1894) in Seewinkel (Burgenland, Austria) — Interim Report 2009

In 2009, selected areas were selected in the area of the Neusiedlersee National Park. Seewinkel with regard to their potential suitability as habitats of extinction in Austria current meadow otters examined. Fu & 776; the selection of an area was the criteria Location, size, urspru & 776;gility and diversity used. In the context of transect countings for & 776;r the meadow otters relevant parameters such as number of cricket holes, mouse holes, chisel holes, hamster holes, rabbit buildings, Wu & 776;hlmaushu & 776;gel as well as the accompanying herpeto fauna were recorded. In addition, vegetation structures and the terrain relief were described.
