Images and GIS Data from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Abbey Old House, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, June 2019

This collection comprises images and GIS data from an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with the construction of a single-storey extension at Abbey Old House, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. This work was undertaken in June 2019 by Cotswold Archaeology. The remains of two ovens, possibly of a medieval date, were identified during groundworks associated with the development. A further, albeit truncated, base of a structure was also identified and may represent the remains of a further oven.

本数据集涵盖英国格洛斯特郡温奇科姆市修道院老屋（Abbey Old House）单层扩建工程配套土方作业期间开展的考古现场监察（archaeological watching brief）所获取的影像与地理信息系统（GIS）数据。该项工作由科茨沃尔德考古（Cotswold Archaeology）于2019年6月实施。本次土方作业中，共发现两处可能属于中世纪时期的窑炉遗迹；此外还识别出一处虽已遭截断的建筑基座，该遗存或为另一处窑炉的残存部分。
