The high-value patent database for the concrete panel industry primarily encompasses invention and utility model patent data related to concrete panel manufacturing sourced from global patent databases. We have conducted retrieval and evaluation scoring on the patent data using our proprietary algorithm, which enables stakeholders to gain insights into the intellectual property (IP) application status and geographical layout of the concrete panel industry. By comparing the patent data of different enterprises in this industry, one can assess the technological innovation capabilities of each enterprise. Additionally, understanding the technological development trends and core technologies of the concrete panel industry helps enterprises avoid repeated R&D and intellectual property infringement.
This database is developed based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), adopting a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods rooted in the patent value assessment framework. The patent value index system is divided into three first-level indicators: technical, legal, and economic value. The first-level indicators are further decomposed into second-level indicators as follows:
1. Technical value indicators: number of independent claims, word count of the principal claim, remaining validity period (in years), number of patent families, number of patents cited by the subject patent, number of times the subject patent is cited by other patents, number of participating inventors, number of technical fields involved;
2. Legal value indicators: patent type, number of pages in the patent document, number of invalidation requests received;
3. Economic value indicators: number of transfer transactions, number of license agreements, number of pledge financing instances, patent award score, customs recordation score.
A three-dimensional matrix is established based on the first-level and second-level indicators. Data indicators required for patent evaluation are obtained via patent interface data. The 1-9 scaling method (with 1 being the lowest score and 9 the highest) is utilized to calculate the weight of each indicator. The score of each indicator is weighted by its corresponding weight, and the sum of all weighted indicator scores constitutes the total patent score. Patents are categorized into three groups based on their total scores: high-value patents (80-100 points), important patents (60-80 points), and general patents (below 60 points).
This database provides technical references and guidance for R&D personnel of enterprises in the concrete panel industry, and offers decision-making support for corporate R&D planning.
