The data is carefully sourced from expert direct submissions, peer-reviewed journals and preprints, organized to consistent high standards, and provided in MITAB or PSI-MI XML 3.0 standard formats. As of June 2024, the database has collected over 1.5 million molecular interaction entries that comply with the IMEx Consortium's standards.
