The impact of Pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 overexpression on the function of vascular smooth muscle cells

This study investigated the impact of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 overexpression on the function of vascular smooth muscle cells. Overall design: Vascular smooth muscle cells were transduced with adenoviral vectors carrying pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 overexpression plasmids or control plasmids. The expression of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 in vascular smooth muscle cells was detected using RT-qPCR, followed by transcriptomic sequencing to investigate the impact of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 on the function of vascular smooth muscle cells.
