蔷薇科蔷薇属落叶灌木。高1-2m，枝条散生基部膨大或呈翼状的皮刺，有时密生针刺。叶片下面被腺毛和柔毛。花单生叶腋，直径2.5－5cm，白色或乳白色。果倒卵球形或球形，红色或带紫色，直径8－15mm。花期6－8月，果期8－9月。 喜湿润，喜光，耐瘠薄。西藏特有植物。产西藏南部、中部和东南部，多生于海拔2600－4200m的林缘灌丛、河谷滩地灌丛。Deciduous shrub belonging to the genus Rosa (family Rosaceae). It attains a height of 1–2 m. Branches are scattered with prickles with dilated bases or wing-like shapes, and sometimes densely covered with slender, sharp prickles. The abaxial surfaces of its leaf blades are covered with glandular hairs and pubescence. Flowers are solitary in leaf axils, measuring 2.5–5 cm in diameter, white or creamy-white. Fruits are obovoid or globose, red or purplish, 8–15 mm in diameter. Flowering occurs from June to August, while fruiting takes place from August to September. This species favors moist habitats, is photophilous, and tolerates barren soils. Endemic to Tibet, it is distributed in southern, central and southeastern Tibet, mostly growing in thickets at forest margins and river valley floodplains at elevations of 2600–4200 m.
