Dietary genistein cooperating with gut microbiota rejuvenates the aging gut to extend lifespan and healthspan

This study provides the first data indicating that dietary genistein modulates homeostasis of the aging gut and extends healthspan and lifespan in aging mammals. Moreover, the existence of a link between genistein and the gut microbiota provides a rationale for dietary interventions against age-associated frailty and gut dysfunction.
