A clearing is a voluntary operation that destroys the forested state of a land and ends its forest destination for new use. Applications for clearing authorisation shall be investigated under the provisions of the Forest Code.

林木清伐（Clearing）系一类自愿性作业，其通过破除地块的林木覆盖状态，终止该地块原有的林地用途，以适配新的开发目标。林木清伐许可的申请，须依照《森林法典》（Forest Code）的相关规定开展审查工作。
