Cosmogenic 36Cl in Antarctic meteorites
收藏资源简介:
We have completed metal separation for about 190 meteorites and dissolved 160 metal samples for 36Cl (half-life = 0.3 Myr) measurements. All Cl fractions were isolated from other elements and purified for analysis by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) at Purdue University. We saved silicate fractions for further studies including noble gas analysis or 14C measurements. The 36Cl AMS measurements for ~120 Antarctic meteorite samples were performed at Purdue University. We reported the preliminary results to the MWG and published the data in the Antarctic Meteorite Newsletter (vol. 29, 2006). This newsletter serves as a mean to quickly communicate potentially interesting results prior to final publication.
