This fungal community data was used to contrast how prescribed fire and mowing management altered microbial community structure and function through changes to the soil environment in a tallgrass prairie.Understanding how belowground systems respond to change (be it disturbance, climate, or anthropogenic) as a system can help land managers and researchers understand how endangered systems like prairies work and how to conserve them.
