What is the Physical nature of Kaz 102: an Enigmatic X-ray Hard Qadio Quiet QSO

We propose to make a detailed broadband Xray spectroscopic study of the radioquiet QSO (RQQ) Kaz 102. This RQQ had a powerlaw spectrum with a photon indexGamma1 with our ASCA observation. We also found a spectral variability over thetimescale of years, from Gamma2.2 during the ROSAT All Sky Survey to Gamma1during the Einstein/ASCA observations. From our ASCA spectra, we couldntdiscriminate whether the apparently unusual hard spectrum was caused by warmabsorber, Compton reflection, or a simple featureless powerlaw continuum. Highquality spectroscopy with XMMNewton is essential to unveil the physical natureof the enigmatic hardness and spectral variability of Kaz 102. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
