The Emission-line Spectrum of High Luminosity AGN: MR2251-178

The z0.068 quasar MR2251178 is a unique source because 1. it is a memberof a very small class of high luminosity AGN showing warm absorbers (WA)in their spectrum. 2 its WA is very different from WAs seen in low luminosityAGN, and 3. its high Xray luminosity (L(210 kev)1e45 erg/sec) and Xrayflux will allow a detailed investigation with XMMRGS.We propose a 70 ks pointing that will allow us to measure 210 soft Xrayemission lines (depending on the properties of high ionization gas which isnot along our lineofsight) and thus reveal the properties of the warmgas, its compositio and its relation to similar gas in Seyfert 1 galaxies. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
