Dataset for: The Role of Biophysical Stickiness on Oil-Mineral Flocculation and Settling in Seawater

All the data was collected from series of jar tests using the mineral (kaolinite and bentonite) and EPS (extracellular polymeric substances) for simulating the artificial biological cohesion/stickiness. These data includes floc characteristics (eg., densities, settling velocities, sizes) and images of EPS-OMA generated by EPS, mineral and crude oil. For floc observation, LabSFLOC-2 system, digital microscope was used. This dataset supports the publication: Ye, Leiping, Andrew J. Manning, James Holyoke, Jorge A.
