A registered site is a site or “natural monument whose conservation or preservation presents from an artistic, historical, scientific, legendary or picturesque point of view, a general interest”.

Registration is an acknowledgement of the quality of a site justifying monitoring its evolution, in the form of a consultation with the architect of the Bâtiments de France on the works undertaken there.

登记备案遗址指符合以下条件的遗址或‘自然遗迹’：从艺术、历史、科学、传奇或景观美学视角出发，其保护工作具备普遍公共价值。
登记备案是对遗址品质的官方认可，可为监测其演化进程提供正当依据，具体实施形式为与法国国家建筑遗产局（Bâtiments de France）的建筑师就场地内开展的工程开展磋商。
