dbCAN-PUL

dbCAN-PUL is a data repository of prokaryotic CAZyme-containing gene clusters that have been experimentally validated to act on a carbohydrate substrate (also known as polysaccharide utilization loci or PULs). In contrast to similar resources such as PULDB, this repository serves as a database containing the most experimentally verified PULs with a confirmed carbohydrate substrate, as well as range from different phyla and comprised of different metabolism systems (as opposed to only the Bacteroidetes and the Starch utilization system (Sus) gene homologs).dbCAN-PUL是一款针对原核生物的数据库资源，其收录的均为经实验验证可作用于碳水化合物底物的、携带碳水化合物活性酶（Carbohydrate-Active enZYmes, CAZyme）编码基因的基因簇，这类基因簇也被称为多糖利用位点（polysaccharide utilization loci, PULs）。与PULDB等同类数据库相比，本数据库不仅包含经实验验证且底物明确的PULs，其来源覆盖不同的细菌门，且涵盖多种代谢系统；不同于仅收录拟杆菌门（Bacteroidetes）及淀粉利用系统（Sus）基因同源物的同类资源。
