Geographic subject data in GeoDanmark

Geographic subject data in GeoDanmark (GeoFA) is a voluntary collection of shared public data that is assessed to have value across municipal boundaries – both for authorities and other external users. GeoFA contains information about outdoor data (recreational paths, routes, shelters, campfires, bathing beaches, etc.), school districts and charging facilities. GeoFA has the strength to ensure standardisation of management data across municipal borders through a common data model. It is voluntary for authorities to use the database for storing and displaying data – and free of charge for third parties to retrieve and use data locally. GeoFA outdoor data is master data for many local, municipal and national solutions, such as Udinaturen, Vestkystapp, Shelterapp, Hejcamp et al. The data set contains an image file as it is possible to associate photos to the objects in the dataset.
