West-Wide Drought Analyses - Drought Severity and Duration

SECURE 2021 West Wide Analyses on Drought Duration and Drought Severity. These data were aggregated to a common spatial resolution of U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) eight-digit Hydrologic Unit Codes (HUC-8) and constrained to the United States, resulting in a total of 1,255 HUC-8s. This layer is intended for web visualizations. To improve performance in web visualizations, this layer has been curated using the Wang-Müller polygon simplification algorithm to retain critical bends with a tolerance of 500 meters.
