This dataset was constructed to support research on grinding process optimization and advanced control within the mineral processing domain. It is collected from the distributed control system (DCS) and associated sensors of the hematite grinding production line in a commercial concentrator plant. The dataset documents core operating states and key process parameters of the ball mill, including critical metrics such as current and mill ear signals for reflecting mill load, ore feed rate and water feed rate that dictate processing capacity, as well as slurry concentration that characterizes product quality. The sampling interval is set to 2 seconds, with a total data size of 260 KB. This high-frequency sampled data precisely captures the dynamic operating behaviors of the grinding system, delivering high-value industrial field time-series data for applications including mill load prediction model development, particle size control strategy research, energy consumption analysis, and fault early warning.
