Distinguishing between sunlit leaf GPP and shaded leaf GPP is critical for understanding the underlying mechanisms of long-term GPP variations. This dataset generates global GPP, shaded leaf GPP and sunlit leaf GPP datasets for the period 1992–2020 using the revised two-leaf light use efficiency (TL-LUE) model, based on datasets such as GLOBMAP-LAI, CRUJRA 2.2, and ESA-CCI. The datasets have a spatial resolution of 0.05 degrees, a temporal resolution of 1 year, and the data unit is gC m⁻² a⁻¹. This dataset provides data support for in-depth understanding of global-scale carbon cycle processes and their dynamic mechanisms.
