Former Orchard Lands

Historical aerial photos were used, based on availability and coverage, from dates between 1945 and 1955 to generate shapefiles depicting the footprint of historical orchard properties. As a resource images from USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center were downloaded and georeferenced. Polygons were digitized outlining apparent orchard property, based on the best interpretation of staff performing the work. A single shapefile for the following counties were produced: Klickitat, Benton, Yakima, Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan.本数据集基于影像可得性与覆盖范围，选用1945年至1955年间的历史航空影像，用于生成描绘历史果园地块范围的形状文件（shapefile）。所用影像资源下载自美国地质调查局（USGS）地球资源观测与科学中心（EROS Center），并已完成地理配准。作业人员基于最优解译结果，对可识别的果园地块轮廓进行多边形数字化操作。针对以下县份分别生成了单个形状文件：克利基塔特县（Klickitat）、本顿县（Benton）、亚基马县（Yakima）、奇兰县（Chelan）、道格拉斯县（Douglas）与奥卡诺根县（Okanogan）。
