Doubling the number of existing good quality spectra of obscured AGN

This program aims at observing all known obscured AGN (5 objects) for whichhighquality RGS spectra can be measured within a reasonable allocation time(less than 2.5 XMMNewton orbits). The proposed observations would double thenumber of objects, where diagnostics of the physical conditions in thecircumnuclear gas (density, ionization state, metallicity) is possible. Thisgoal can be achieved with a total time allocation of 965 ks.
