Dog 10K genomes project
Dog 10K genomes project
The Dog 10K Genomes Project is an international genome sequencing initiative designed to coordinate global canine genome sequencing efforts and establish a comprehensive canine genomic resource. The project comprises three phases, with core objectives including deciphering the evolutionary history of dogs, genomic alterations during domestication, disease-susceptibility genes, and the correlations between phenotypic traits and genetic changes. It was co-founded by the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the United States, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
