The Smart City Corpus (SCILIC)

A 3.6 million-token corpus of smart cities literature. It is sourced from two primary domains: peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (2015–2025) and technical reports from the UN-Habitat digital repository (2010–2025). The project aims to: Identify core academic vocabulary related to smart cities.Extract pedagogically significant words, collocations, and lexical bundles.Map the professional jargon used in the field of smart cities.4. Guide future applied linguistics research in the relevant domain.
