The Decree defines, for the period 2014-2020, the areas, conditions and limits within which regional aid may be considered compatible with the internal market pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market and in accordance with the European Commission Guidelines of 23 July 2013 on national regional aid for the period 2014-2020 and the Commission Decision of 7 May 2014 approving the French regional aid map. This aid will contribute to the development of regions in difficulty by supporting, in particular, the productive investments of large enterprises and SMEs or the creation of jobs linked to such investments. Outside these areas, only productive investments by SMEs are eligible for public support.
