Streets Daily Bike Counts

In 2016, we began a new annual bicycle count program using automated technology. We collect data at almost 90 locations across the City a few times per year. This dataset contains daily (24-hour) traffic count summaries collected by the Boston Transportation Department (BTD) at designated count locations. Each record represents a single count location on a specific date, including total bicycle and motor-vehicle volumes over 24 hours, plus AM and PM commute-window subtotals and corresponding bicycle mode-share metrics. The dataset also includes basic location (lat/long) and contextual fields (weather, month/season). To view the data interactively, visit the Boston Bike Counts Viewer.
