<b>Project title</b>: PMACS-71<b>Grant Information:</b> AHA Grant 9TPA34910007, Regulatory role of pericardial macrophages in myocardial infarction<b>Project Description:</b>· Animal Model: Myocardial Infarction· Animal Age: 8-12 Weeks· Animal Sex: Male· Animal Strain: C57B6/J Lys^CreGATA6^fl/fl· Number: 8 Mice· Groups: 5 Lys^CreGATA6^fl/fl receiving CCL2-neutralizing antibody, 3 Lys^CreGATA6^fl/flmice receiving no CCL2, all infarcted· Experimental Conditions: Mice were given MI via LAD ligation. One group of mice also received 30uL of 0.02mg/kg CCL2-neutralizing antibody into the pericardial cavity during surgery. Animals were sacrificed at day 2 post-infarction.
