Comparing diversities: Bioacoustics and visual identification of avian species

This is an observational study on the diversity indexes of avian species perceived with (1) visual observations – the researcher’s eyes, versus (2) acoustic observations – the researcher’s ears. Replicate species were identified using the Merlin App or Ebird, developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Data was collected for 30 minutes each day for 5 days, 2021/10/05 to 2021/10/10, in São Paulo, Brazil in a 500 m2urban area with many trees in the location, and parks nearby.
