VT Data - 2024/25 Drive Test - Speed Test Totals
收藏资源简介:

Program Description

The Vermont Mobile Wireless Drive Test Program is an initiative led by the Division of Telecommunications and Connectivity at the Vermont Department of Public Service to evaluate the availability and performance of mobile voice and data service along roadways in Vermont.

The program involves a “test-kit” consisting of consumer grade cell phones and specialized software to capture a real-world user experience. The software records mobile service availability, broadband speeds, and voice call completion. The collected data identifies areas where coverage is available, as well as areas where service is unreliable or non-existent.

Please note the Drive Test results capture a "snapshot" in time and may not reflect the current conditions

Data Description

Data Test Totals

This polygon feature layer features data summarized in H3 hexagons Resolution 8 from individual data speed tests conducted in 2024 and 2025. The data was collected for four mobile service providers in the State of Vermont: ATT, FirstNet, T-Mobile, and Verizon. This data includes a combined field that includes results from every test in each hexagon where testing was conducted.

The test data includes results from each attempted test collected during the program and includes the following attributes:

Speed Test Totals Schema

Vendor - name of mobile service provider tested; includes ATT, FirstNet, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Combined values

Pass– a count of total passed tests inside the hex

Fail – a count of total failed tests inside the hex

Total – total tests attempted inside the hex

Pass_percent – a ratio of passed tests to total tests inside the hex

Download - (Download) speeds achieved during individual tests aggregated to H3 hexagon

Upload - (Upload) speeds achieved during individual tests aggregated to H3 hexagon

Jitter - variability in latency, or delay. Can be disruptive to audio communications. Jitter in milliseconds (ms) achieved during individual tests aggregated to H3 hexagon

Latency - time delay in milliseconds (ms) achieved during individual tests aggregated to H3 hexagon

Result – a descriptive text summary of results by download speed average across all tests inside the hex

H3 – alphanumeric identifier for resolution 8 H3 hex
